The three member companies of the Association of Slovak Cement Producers operate four cement plants in four regions of Slovakia. Our members significantly contribute towards the creation of a reliable infrastructure with a significant impact on the quality of the Slovak building industry. Some of the members also carry out concrete production, mining of stones, gravel and aggregates. or mining of clinker. Systematic logistical and transportation services are implemented in relation to the operations of the member companies, together with activities in the field of waste-to-energy utilisation and production of alternative fuels. Thus, the cement industry creates more than 1,570 jobs directly in its operations and hundreds of other jobs indirectly in the suppliers’ network and support services. The total turnover of ASCP member companies in 2016 was 255 million EUR. The cement industry, with its wide product portfolio, is one of the most important industries and employers in the regions where it operates.
